Behind the "heavy wall of sound" and the moments of "quiet harmony" stand four dreamers who became something much louder than the sum of their parts: Freddie Mercury (vocals and piano), Brian May (guitar), Roger Taylor (drums), and John Deacon (bass guitar). Together, they formed a unique democratic unit where every member was a primary songwriter and a keeper of the eternal flame.
